Clinic: Please have students to report to the auditorium at 7:45 AM so that they can be prepared for roll call.

We will give directions about where to go from there.

Attire: You may wear casual clothing that is still following GPISD Dresscode for the clinic. For the concert, please be sure you have your formal wear labeled under your name. Bring your black formal shoes, your formal attire (suit and black dress). I have bowties and treble, I have your dresses.

What students bring:

  • Wearing a choir t-shirt is highly encouraged🙂
  • Bring formal uniform for the concert – labeled with their name on the hanger or some kind of identifying sign (There will be 270 uniforms, and many look exactly the same, so please remind your students to label their uniform in some way!)
  • 2 Pencils
  • Water bottle – also labeled with their name
  • Black Choir folder/binder with their 4 All-Region Songs – make sure students also have their name in/on their binder and that their measures are numbered.  *Students should have their original octavos with them, but they may use a photocopy if it has all of their markings – As long as they also have the original.  I would encourage students to take other choir music out of their binder and leave it at home or school.

Lunch:  We will break at 11:30 AM for lunch.  Rehearsal will resume at 1 PM.  Each Choir Director is in charge of lunch for your students. Please bring at least $20 for food or pack a sack lunch to eat during the break. Fill out this form if you are planning to purchase from CHICKFILA: https://forms.gle/CyYP9Bb2qJubzSwd6

Concert: Concert starts at 5 pm however, I would encourage parents to arrive early.   We will have Pep Wear there selling All-Region T-shirts and plaques and Inspired Imaging will be there to sell videos.  Parents can purchase these things prior to and after the concert.

Returning: We do not have a set time; we hope this day will be done no later than 7:00 pm. It could be earlier or later. We will not be providing a bus back from the concert. Please make arrangements to pick your student up after the concert. When the full concert is finished, please ensure your student checks out with a director.

Permission Slips: If you already filled out a permission slip for the retreat, you do not need to fill out another one. We have one permission slip per semester. VERY IMPORTANT: If you are taking your student to the venue, you must fill out the additional permission called “Alternate Student Travel Form.” Since we are not providing a bus back, you do not need to fill out for getting picked up, and it will be understood that all will need to be picked up. Please complete the form online via your www.gpfaavm.com account no later than Friday, February 3rd, 2023. Please remember that alternate student travel forms must be filled out every time a student does not use district-provided transportation. (This is a district rule)
