Competition Reminder
TMEA All-State Round Three is just around the corner. Please read the Who, What, When, Where, and Why information!
Who: All HS students who have made it through Round 2
What: 3rd Round All-State
When: Thursday, November 17, 2022
Where: Legacy High School
1263 N Main St, Mansfield, TX 76063
Time: Leaving GPFAA @ 1:00 pm
Returning: We do not have a set time, we are hoping this day will be done no later than 9:00 pm. It could be earlier or later. Please meet at the school around 9:00 pm for pickup. If you need to get in touch with your student please message/call Lily Tredemeyer, Guild Events Coordinator (see the point of contact info below)
Permission Slips: If you already filled out a permission slip for the retreat, you do not need to fill out another one. We have one permission slip per semester. VERY IMPORTANT: If you are taking and/or picking up your student from the competition, you will need to fill out the additional permission called “Alternate Student Travel Form.” Please complete the form online via your www.gpfaavm.com account no later than Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Please remember that alternate student travel forms need to be filled out every single time a student does not use district-provided transportation. (This is a district rule!)
Transportation: district school bus
What to bring: original music, student ID (for the bus), sack dinner, water, pencil, paper clips, highlighter
Food/Dinner: Bring a sack dinner & cash. We might stop for a quick snack before, but if not, your sack dinner should suffice.
Attire: No specific attire is needed. Plan for comfort and success.
Chaperone/Volunteer: YES – we will need help. There will be two different groups helping in different ways. One group will be helping with the actual contest, and the other group will help directly with our own students, click here to volunteer.
Point of Contact: Students cannot have any electronic devices at the competition. All electronic devices are held by parent chaperones. Students do not receive their devices until the competition is completely over and all singers have exited the facility. Lily Tredemeyer, Vocal Music Guild Events Coordinator is the parent contact if you need to get a hold of your student or have any questions on the day of the competition.
