What: High School Retreat
Who: All High School Students
When: Friday, September 30-October 1st
Where: Mt. Lebanon Campgrounds, 1701 Texas Plume Road, Cedar Hill, Texas 75104
Time: The goal is to leave at 1:20 pm, during the 4th/8th-period class. The Junior Varsity student will not be able to leave during their core classes, so we will figure out a carpool system for these students.
Transportation: School Bus ONLY to the event. The parent/guardian must pick up the student from the cabins.
Pick-up Time: 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm on Saturday. (Parent to join Cookout from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm).
Requirements to attend: Passing all classes with a 70 and above, before Thursday, September 29th (3:00 pm). Give enough time for teachers to grade. So that means, do not wait till the last minute to turn in work. I will run a grade check skyward grade check. If grades are not updated due to students not giving the teacher enough time, they will not be able to attend.

The purpose of the retreat is to have the choirs grow musically and become a cohesive group through the weekend activities. These activities will include:
- Rehearsal in preparation for the All-State Choir, ACDA, and Honor Choir
- Group building activities
- Evening Movie
- Recreation Free Time
- Student Variety Show, Culminating performance for each other
Please do not forget to pay the General GPFAA VM fee. This is due on October 1st– $25.00 (minimum), plus a processing fee. **This is not a retreat fee, this is part of our general vocal music fee.
Preparations for this exciting RETREAT are well underway! September 30, and October 1, At Mt. Lebanon Campgrounds (Pecan and Hackberry Lodges ) 1701 Texas Plume Rd, Cedar Hill, Tx 75104.
- Meet at 1:20 PM on Friday in front of the school for Departure @ 1:30 pm. Bus transportation only to the event.
- Be picked up between 1:30-2: 30 PM on Saturday during the Alumni Cookout / Parents to join Cookout 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm
THINGS TO BRING warm clothing, extra shoes, rain gear, bug spray, toothbrush, PJs, soap, shampoo, shower shoes etc. pillow & sleeping bag TOWELS *FLASHLIGHT* *WATCH* alarm clock? All-State/Honor music, Games – Pictionary, trivia, etc. Frisbee, camera, SNACKS!!! and more snacks!! WATER, Guitar? Sports equipment is available at the camp (volleyball, basketball, soccer ball, football, etc.) A SMILE!!!! A WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND HAVE FUN!
