TMEA Virtual Conference

Parents and Students,

This conference is typically in person in San Antonio, Tx, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Our students have been attending this conference for several years and look forward to it every year. Due to Covid-19, the conference is virtual this year. It is important that we provide the students with a similar experience, allowing them to gather as an organization and attend the conference. The state conference provides different educational sessions and concerts for the students to grow in their vision as future educators. This experience is designed for the students to attend the events and commune and reflect on the experience with their colleagues.

The students, all in good standing, have been pre-registered, and fees have been paid. Students will have the opportunity to participate virtually in the conference from Thursday, February 11- to Saturday, February 13.

Friday, February 12th will be our main day that we attend the conference together (at the REED Center), the rest will be on their own.

COVID Protocol: We will be following the district Covid-19 guidelines-requiring mask, enforcing social distancing, seating arrangements, and use of hand sanitizer.
