This time of year always makes us reflective. Reflective of all the wonderful blessings we have been given with our families, friends, and undoubtedly-our GPFAA Vocal Music Family. 2020 has certainly brought a new perspective, but we refuse to let it minimize our gratitude for these incredible people, and for our love of choral music!
Each day we are thankful to see the faces, hear the voices, and venture to new creative places with our students. You help us grow as teachers and musicians. Parents, we appreciate your steadfast support of your student and the Vocal Music program. Our leadership team has been extended this year, and boy are we thankful…our team was made more successful because of each of you. Words cannot express how grateful we are daily for the professionalism and talent that Chris Schoppe, Paula Dial, Jen Townsley, John Cornish, Alexis Galindo and Jose Olivares (student teachers) bring to this program!
Our wish for each of you this season is simple…don’t forget your passion. The faces change, the locations differ, and platforms fluctuate between virtual and in person, but the constant is your passion. Keep the passion for being the best you can be, the passion for creating art unlike any other group, and the passion for reaching your dreams. Stay safe, continue to be kind to one other, and remain humble.
Feel free to watch a few clips from some of our students as they share part of their Thanksgiving memory.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Mr. Duarte and Ms. Maughan
