MARK OF EXCELLENCE AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Congratulations to the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy Singers for earning the title of National Winners in the Foundation of Music Education’s Mark of Excellence competition! This is a repeat win for this talented GPFAA High School Ensemble and their Directors. We are humbled and excited to have received this honor in both 2019 and 2020. We are very proud of the dedication, practice, and patience that each Singer displayed in order to reach this level of choral excellence!

As noted on The Foundations of Music Education’s Website: “The Mark of Excellence project seeks to recognize and award outstanding achievement in performance by high school and middle school bands, choirs and orchestras. The project gathers entries from throughout the United States and provides valuable feedback for all entrants. A unique competitive environment is created which allows ensembles to compare their performance quality to other outstanding groups from across the country. The top 25% of entrants are recognized as National Winners, with the second 25% named as Commended Winners”.
